Bama Bounders

Maddie has enjoyed preschool gymnastics at Bama Bounders a few times now. This was Lillian's first time there, and she loved it too.  This is simply the best activity you can find for $5.00.  The hour flies by, and the children have a ball!

Maddie reminds me so much of her sweet mama!  She loves climbing, rolling, jumping and being adventurous!

This one also found lots of things to enjoy! She loved tumbling around!

This picture pretty much sums it up!  We had a ball!

We are already looking forward to our next visit!  This summer has just flown by.  I am going to miss seeing these two so often.   

Puppies and Peas

We made a couple of visits back to see Sarah's puppies!  They are growing and ready for good homes.  They are absolutely precious!

I have countless memories of shelling peas and butterbeans under my grandmother's pecan trees.  I am not sure that Maddie has shelled enough yet to have made many memories, but she's learning! Papa showed her just how it's done! 

We should have butterbeans ready the next time she's here.  Can't wait to introduce her to shelling those!

The Relatives Came

We had a wonderful afternoon with Aunt Di, Aunt Sandra, Papa and all the cousins.  I have to be honest, it's great to have a pool on a hot July day in Alabama.  You just throw them all in and the fun begins!

I love how Lillian is holding on to Pop with her little hand.  So Sweet!  She loves the pool-in small doses!

Lillian already likes doing anything Maddie does.  She loved going down the little slide!

Josey and Charley were wonderful with the girls!

I know I am a little bit prejudice, but this is a very precious group of children! (I took about 5 pictures of this, and just realized I posted the one of Maddie looking away-oops!)

These pictures of Cade and Lillian are some of my all time favorites.  To me this is what family gatherings are all about! Too sweet!

I can't wait until our next get together.  Maddie has already learned that cousin time is special.  Lots of memories were made!

All Before Lunch

Our days start early when the girls are here.  We manage to fit lots of activities into each day.  I've learned that we don't need to plan anything elaborate in order to have a really terrific time with these two.  We've made lots of memories this summer!

We began this day blowing bubbles outside while still in our pajamas....... Maddie wasn't quite ready to have her picture taken.

We quickly moved on to doggy rides.  God Bless Maybelle.  Her pedigree isn't much to brag about, but she's a good one.  I love the picture where she's looking at the camera and seems to be silently saying, "For the love of all that's good, please save me."

 After a busy fun morning, the afternoon was even better!  The cousins and aunts came for an afternoon of swimming and supper.  More on that later!

Fishing Buddy

Tomorrow Pop and I are going to get his fishing buddy and her precious baby sister for a few days. We have lots of important things planned! Things like eating lots of Popsicles, hugs, swimming, fishing, gardening, and visits from the cousins!

Be Still My Heart

Allison and Jessie recently kept the girls for us for a few hours. I found this by surprise on my IPad, and after a very long week, it made my day!! Maddie and Lillian will be back soon and we can't wait!!

Twenty-Four

Twenty four years ago today, we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy! Our lives have not been the same since.  Love you bunches!!

Best Playmate Ever

Uncle C is simply the best.  He loves the girls, and the girls love him!!
