Sweet Visit

I was blessed to be able to spend a week with my grandbabies after Reed was born. We went swimming, visited the library, made daily trips to get ice cream or snowcones, played outside, and loved on sweet Reed.  Now that I am home, I am missing them like crazy!! Pop and I are going to visit one day next week, and we can't wait!!

First, this is the crawfish boil that followed the birthday party.  Lindsey  has done remarkably well after having Reed.  I think she is really enjoying getting back to her old self! Papa stayed close by to assist, and Pop snuck in a few snuggles with Reed.  Taylor got the best job!

Taylor and the girls inspected the crawfish before they were cooked.  The girls weren't too sure about them!

Papa and Lindsey enjoyed quite a few of these little creatures!

Now, on to my visit!  Little Bit is a cute little mess.  She grabbed a pillow and Reed's blanket, and crawled into his portable cradle!!  She does this every chance she gets!

Fun at the library

Reed's first bath-He was not very impressed!
A little obstacle course fun in the den!

We had a little photo shoot one day!  Aren't those feet precious!?!

It's tough being a big sister!

Reed's first doctor's visit! Beautiful and healthy!

Lillian also had a doctor's appointment, and had to get a shot!!  Big Sis took very good care of her! This melts my heart!!

They are adjusting quite nicely to being a family of five.  The road from here to Alex City will continue to be well traveled!

Late Second

Shhh...If you see Lillian please don't tell her we were just a little late celebrating her birthday this year.  Reed's arrival allowed us to celebrate both this year, which was extra special.

(This post has lots of pictures!)

Uncle C and Taylor got to love on sweet Reed.

Fun on the slip and slide

Eli joined in the fun on the sprinkler and pool

Opening presents is always fun!

Help from Pop

And Big Sis!

Sharing her cake that had been in the freezer for several weeks with Maddie!

Originally we had planned on a trip to the zoo for her party-that's why the cake had a zoo theme!

Just a few more pictures of the day

We were so glad Papa got to make the trip.

Baby Reed had a little accident on Pop.

We had a very special day welcoming Baby Reed and celebrating Lillian's birthday (even if we were a little late).  We actually ended the day with a craw fish boil.  More on that next.

Catching Up and Coming Home

While we were waiting on our new precious bundle of joy, Pop and I had lots of fun with the girls.  We made cookies and cupcakes, learned to swim, enjoyed VBS and swimming lessons, ate lots of popsicles, danced the night away at a beautiful wedding, visited the new splash pad in Tuscaloosa, and even made new friends.  One thing I didn't do was take lots of pictures.

Visits with cousins are always fun!

Maddie loved Jim and Ashley's wedding

She wouldn't put her face in at the beginning of the summer, but is already swimming like a fish!

Pop's got them hooked on Slim Jim's!

Little Bit is quite adventurous, too!

"Do it more Pop!"

Allison joined us at the new splash pad in Tuscaloosa.  Lots and lots of fun!!

And then this happened-
Sweet Reed came home!!

We are all completely, totally in love!!  What a doll!
