This Little Light of Mine

Caleb and Taylor recently joined Aliceville Baptist Church.  Although Caleb made a profession of faith many years ago, he made the decision to be baptized upon joining.  We were able to spend part of the day with the Hall's, which is something we truly enjoy and look forward to doing.  My prayer for my children has always been that they follow Jesus as their Savior.  I am truly grateful that both have found a church where they can continue to do that.

Caleb and Brother Charlie-Every picture tells a story and what a beautiful story this one tells!

We enjoyed sharing this special day with the Hall's.

I am proud of many things in life, but nothing beats being a mother (or grandmother).  We have been blessed with two awesome children!!

Playoff Bound

Another season of cheering is almost in the books!  Maddie's squad actually has a cheering competition in a couple of weeks to wrap things up!  Lots of traveling and lots of fun has been had by all this season!

Cute, sweeet girls!

Practicing before the game!

Here come the Generals!!

Fun on the sidelines!

And in the stands!

Halftime cheer on the field!

And another victory!

Pop and I loaded up and headed back across the state when the game was over.  We are heading back tomorrow though for a Fall Festival!

You Go Girl!!

This gymnastics sure has been fun so far!!!  This meet was held in Mountain Brook, and once again we didn't know what to expect.  As it turns out, we should have expected only the very best from Maddie and her entire team!  She was a tad bit nervous before the start, but she came through like a champ!

Pre-Meet warm-ups for these two!

And for Maddie and the team!

Introductions!

She was the very first competitor of the day, and she began on the floor! 3rd Place!

I was across the gym, so the vault is a little blurry! 4th Place

She rocked the bars!!  1st place with a 9.5!

I get a little nervous when she's on the beam!  3rd place!!

Part of the cheering section!

Vault Winners

Bars!!

Floors winners

All Around-1st Place!

She got a trophy for all around!!

Who needs medals when you can share a cookie cake with friends??

We are very, very proud of our sweet girl!!

You Go Girl!!

We can't wait until the next meet!!

Tutu

So, I am way, way behind with this post!!  The hospital where Josh works sponsored a TuTu run, and they had so much fun participating. This was a 2.2 mile fun run to raise money for cancer, which sadly has effected our family many times over now.  Reed was actually home with Pop, so he missed out on this.

Maddie has decided that she loves to run.  She stayed way ahead of her mom and dad!

Love these sweet girls!!

Both girls found sweet friends at the run, and that made it even more fun!

These three would run ahead and then slow down and wait on their parents!

Buddies!!

It takes a real man to sport a tutu!!

And on a different note-the race is on!!!

We are headed to a gymnastics meet this weekend.  More on that next time!

What a Day - Part 2

Pop has the best toys in the whole wide world!!!  After playing in the sand, the little ones hopped on the front in loader, while Maddie drove me around on the ranger.

She's gotten to be a really good driver!!

She was also really excited about flying Pop's drone, too!  I have to admit that thing is really neat!!

Look closely at Reed.  That is the look of total exhaustion!

"Don't these people know that it's my naptime?" (And he did take an almost 3 hour nap when we got home.)

Up, Up and Away!!

Pop's getting some extra special help!!

It didn't take long for this little one to get his second wind! He was much more interested in this stick than the drone!!

Where'd it go?

Four of my very favorite people in the whole wide world!!

Cheese!!

The day just kept getting  better and better!!  Uncle C and Aunt Taylor came to visit!! They got to help with "Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack"!

Sweet, sweet girls!

The next morning, we woke up to some excitement in the front yard!!

This crew came to cut down a dead tree!  Fun, fun!!

Ready made and free entertainment!!

Telling Pop all about it!

Sweet Memories!!
