Meals on Wheels

I've been stealing pictures again.......I blame it on Reed and Lillian's wonderful preschool, Jacob's Ladder.  They keep posting these precious pictures, and I just have to have them!

Read Across America Week

Hat Day-There are just no words!!  Love this sweet thing!!

Different children are chosen weekly to help with "Meals on Wheels". This week it was Lillian and her sweet friend Lee Ellen's turn. What a wonderful opportunity this is!  I love that they are being taught to help others at such an early age!!

They also stopped to pick some Camilla's along the way.

I'd like to think that they are delivering  meals sprinkled with smiles, love, compassion and hope! This one has a heart of gold!

In addition to delivering meals, fun was had at every stop!

Who wouldn't love to have a meal delivered by these sweeties??

And just because I couldn't leave her out........Maddie and Beau

Josh is on call this weekend, but Lindsey and the kiddos are coming for the weekend.  We just can't wait!!

Hunting Buddies

Although deer season has been over for a couple of weeks, hog season is never ending.  Maddie is all about killing a hog.  And Reed is all about hanging out with Pop and Maddie.  I'm not sure what Pop is going to do when Reed is a little older.  His shooting houses and stands are going to be rather crowded.  No worries for Lillian and me though!  The two of us will be quite comfortable at home.  I'm still pretty confident that hunting is not going to be her thing!

I think Maddie would live in the woods if she could!  She is starting a new adventure this spring-soccer!  We know absolutely NOTHING about the sport, but can't wait to watch her play! She is hanging up her softball glove at least for the season. Cheerleading and gymnastics keep her quite busy throughout the year.

Oh this boy!!  Never, ever a dull moment!

Please don't tell him that his BB gun is empty!

Look out piggies!!!

She is always, always the protective big sister-whether they like it or not!  :)

We are meeting at the zoo today and just can't wait!

Meet Beau

I had been to Alex City for a couple of days when Reed got our new addition.  The kids came back with me, so we all got to meet Beau at the same time.  Needless to say, he was quite the hit!  Lillian is a true animal lover, and she rarely put him down.  Maddie and Reed were quite taken with him, too. Officially, he is a Boykin Spaniel, and will be a bird hunter.   Unofficially, he is being spoiled rotten by all of us!

Make no mistake, Beau got lots and lots of loving!!

He is a handsome little guy!

It was almost like his legs were broken!  He didn't get to see the ground very much!!

The only thing to rival playing with the puppy might be getting mail! (Maddie was picking up leaves.)

Isn't he precious???

Naptime!!

Why did they put me down?

This is probably breaking all kind of rules, but Beau didn't mind.

Privacy, please!  Also, we originally named him BEAUX (with an X).  We were asked if we were LSU fans, so we quickly dropped that X!  Absolutely, not!!! Beau it is!

The grand dog has not taken this too well.  The first time Levi met Beau, he would not have anything to do with me.  When I would try to pet Levi, he would turn his back to me like below!  Bless it!  He is SLOWLY getting somewhat better.  It's going to be a process, I'm afraid.

Sweet Magnolia

Many times over the years when Lindsey was growing up, I would look outside and she would be halfway up our very, very high magnolia tree.  A few years ago, we cut the bottom limbs off for about the first 10 feet, which made climbing the tree somewhat of a challenge.  Pop got a ladder for the girls to help with those first few feet, and the fun began!  I am truly scared of heights, so I was not fond of this activity!!

Lillian also got in on the fun, but she wasn't quite as sure of this as Maddie!

I think Maddie could have stayed up here all day!!

Sweet sisters!

Day 2-Maddie slowly went a little higher.  Thank goodness she didn't want to go to the top like her mom.  I might also add that the tree is much taller now, and I'm pretty sure my heart won't be able to take it! Lillian hung tight on the same limb!

Beau and Reed thought hard about joining them!!

Every time I turned around they were back in the tree!!

You just never know what you're going to get into at Nana and Pop's house!!

Twist and Shout

Jacob's Ladder has the world's best sock hop!!  Lillian and Reed sported their best 50's attire and headed out for a high ole' time!  I am so glad I was able to see this. Awesome decorations, a real local DJ, and fun for all! Lindsey had a two day workshop, so I was there to help out with carpool and such.  Mostly, I was there to have fun!!

Cheese! Too cute!!

The four year olds before the fun begins!

It don't mean a thing, if you haven't got that swing!

Come on baby-let's do the twist!

Everybody's doing the locomotion! (Or possibly hand-jive!!)

How low can you go??

Oh this girl!!! Where did our shy little girl go?

Lillian loves Mrs. Ellen!  And so do the rest of us!!

She was super excited that Daddy got to join her!

She is growing so fast!

Just a little post dance fun!!!

Happy Valentine's!!
