Christmas Day

It's the most wonderful time of the year...….

After stopping by to see the little one, Pop and I traveled to Lindsey's on Christmas Eve to attend a Candlelight Service with all of them.  Following this, we enjoyed a wonderful meal that Lindsey cooked.  Finally, we enjoyed the Christmas Story that Lillian and Maddie both shared.  After an early night to bed, we woke to see all the goodies Santa had left.  After a delicious breakfast, we headed back across the state to see John Sawyer (and his parents) on his first Christmas morning!  Whew!  We travel lots and lots of miles as we try our best not to miss anything!

First, a little flashback to our Christmas card!

The cutest baby ever on the most precious little rocking horse!

He had the perfect first Christmas!

Santa sneaked in during the dark of night and worked his magic!  Lindsey recently painted the girls room, so they got lots of goodies for it!  Reed just got lots of goodies-(All he asked for was a gold sword and transfer truck!)

Is there anything sweeter than this?

Checking out the goods Santa left before opening more presents!

Everyone needs a light up wolf hat!

Two sweet, happy girls!

They love helping their mom cook, so they got their own baking kit.

More sweet hugs from this sweetie!

 This boy loves his momma!

Merry Christmas!

After a great breakfast, we hugged these guys and headed back west.....

To spend some time with this cutie!  We feel very blessed to have such wonderful children and grandchildren.

That's a wrap!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Round One

This Christmas season has been filled with so many fun events and special moments.  We have enjoyed candle light services, cantatas, train rides, visits with Santa, meals with family, church services, and so much more. I simply love everything about this season. The things that stand out the most are Lillian and Maddie sharing the Christmas Story on Christmas Eve, Reed's bright eyes on Christmas morning and enjoying John Sawyer's first Christmas.

The gang's all here for the Santa Express train ride.

Love these sweeties!

This little one gives the best kisses!

Is there anything sweeter?

His big cousins love him dearly!

Pop and his boys!

So sweet!

We actually celebrated Christmas at our house the Saturday before Christmas.  I really like doing this.  It allows Lindsey and Josh to get ready for Christmas at their house, and Taylor and Caleb have lots of celebrations on her side of the family, too. It also allows us to spend time with both families Christmas Day and check out all of their goodies.

Papa enjoyed spending part of the day with us, and opening his presents.

Maddie was his special elf and helped him with his presents. Papa's favorite present seemed to be this bag of Cracker Jacks!

Reed gives the best hugs!

Taking it all in......

This was actually taken a couple of days earlier.  Pop loves his babies!

My very favorite elf of all........

Just a few pictures of our day-

An oldie but a goodie-The Pie in the Face game!!

Cruising in his new wagon!

This tree is all boxed up and all the decorations are down!  It was another very special Christmas!

Next up-Christmas Day!

Joy

Our Friendship Circle has been meeting for over 20 years now.  We have grown from a very young group of ladies, to shall we say slightly middle aged with a few youngsters mixed in.  We have been through many, many things together, and we probably have way more fun than we should! We don't follow the rules, and we are very casual. I love hosting our Christmas Party each year.  Everyone brings an appetizer or dessert of their choice and a wrapped ornament.  Following our devotion, we all are "actively engaged" in our Dirty Santa ornament swap.  My personal belief is that if you're going to play, you should play with everything you've got!

Settling in, getting ready for the fun to begin!

It's all smiles until someone steals your priceless ornament!

Tim is the only pastor we've ever had that's brave enough to join in the fun!  Trust me, his ornaments are not off limits!

These ornaments matched his outfit perfectly!

One of these twins acts really, really sweet!  However, she'll swipe your ornament in a hot second!

This was Laura's first time to participate.  She assured me that she'd be back again!

This might be the twin I was talking about..........

Whose ornament is she going after?

We also believe in training them while they are young!!

Everyone seemed to want Luann's ornament this year!

Karen's got taken quite a few times, too!

Love this group!  If you weren't here, you were missed!

What a night of joy!!
