Celebrating Lillian

Lillian will be six this week!  We had a very big weekend celebrating her.  She is sweet, tenderhearted, mischievous, and just a joy to be around. She just finished kindergarten and is headed to first grade.  It is amazing how fast this six years has passed. As the middle child, I think she has the best of both words.  She has a very sweet sister bond with Maddie, and she and Reed are best buddies. I just can't wait to continue to watch her grow. She had her first dance recital this weekend, and was just awesome.

Getting a ride from dad!

Nana and Pop love this sweet girl!

Love this family!

What a cutie!

Big sis got in on the fun, too.

Shhh......You weren't suppose to take any photos, but I just couldn't resist.

I blinked my eye, and they are almost grown!

Following the recital, we headed to Olive Garden, which was Lillian's choice.  It was quite a surprise. I just knew we were headed to Burger King!  The picture below is the reaction I got when I asked Josh if he wanted to take a selfie!

Love this sweet girl!

Up, up and away! We headed to Surge after eating.  Lillian is celebrating with friends later in the week, but this kicked off her birthday week.

Who knew you could get so excited over a baby doll?  I'm telling you-this is one precious girl!

Back to the fun!

And now on to a few other events!  Maddie and I enjoyed a little game of checkers and a meal together after her gymnastics practice one night.

Reed just finished at Jacob's Ladder and will be heading to big school in August.  We are all going to miss the programs and activities at this special place.  We are also going to miss the way they have loved all three.  Jacob's Ladder has been apart of their lives since Maddie was a baby.

He is happiest in his boots, blue jeans, belt and hat!  Cutest stinker ever!!

We spent a morning at the park, but sadly it didn't end well for Maddie.  Here they are carrying her to jail!  I never did find out exactly what she did!

And this precious one is now 12 weeks old.  He will be beginning Miss Cathy's this week. He will freely give you the sweetest smile, and he loves his hands! We are totally in love!

That's a wrap on this week!  We have more gymnastics and softball All Stars, as well as a beach trip coming up.  I am also keeping John Sawyer a day a week!  So much fun!

What a Week!

What a week! I spent a few days at UAB for some special mini camps.  I came home and attended the rehearsal dinner and wedding of one of my best buddies son (who I love dearly), then traveled to Anniston to attend Maddie's soccer tournament, and finally we cooked for the Senior Meal at church today!  I am one tired lady, but enjoyed every minute of it!

This is how you react after you win your All Star tournament!

I am so glad they were able to experience this together!

Walking down the aisle!  Caleb and Carson have literally been friends since they were babies!  He is truly blessed to have so many lifelong friends. The wedding and entire weekend were magical!

It was one of those weddings that just made you say "wow"! I can't wait to see the real pictures!

Hanging out with the handsome groom!

Am I really this much shorter than these sweet friends, and doesn't the mother of the groom look beautiful?

Tammy and Taylor were our entertainment at our Senior meal, and did an awesome job!

Daddy took an early lunch, and came to help babysit while they were singing!

Love, love, love this picture!  The five remaining Marines!  And isn't John Sawyer just precious?

This was Uncle Clyde's first time to meet John Sawyer.

Champ!

What a season!  We really weren't sure what to expect when Lillian decided she wanted to play softball!  She's our girly girl, and getting hot, sweaty and dirty aren't usually tops on her list of things to do!  She has been quite the little slugger this year though! We couldn't be prouder of her and her team.  Great coaches, sweet friends, and lots of victories have made this a season of memories!

I told her that a ring was WAY better than a trophy!  She told me she thought she needed a trophy and the ring!

Champs!!

Admiring their bling!

Look out All Stars-Here she comes!!

Two Special Days

I have attending countless sporting events over the years, but the teacher in me truly appreciates an awards program more than anything.  I know the hard work that goes into being successful!  Maddie received an award for all A's for the year, and I am thrilled that I was able to see her receive her award!  Also, this weekend we all met in Birmingham for a sweet Mother's Day meal.  I love when we are all together!  I was blessed to share the time with Lindsey and Taylor-who are such sweet, special moms!

So sweet and smart, too!

Lillian loves her big sis!

I can't believe this one will soon be a fourth grader!

Proud Nana with her two sweet girls!

I love that Lindsey will be with all 3 kids until they graduate!

Now on to our second special day!  Lindsey, Josh and the kids met the rest of us in Birmingham for a special Mother's Day supper.  I love when we can all be together!

John Sawyer was a big hit!

And so was broccoli!!

My people!  We are truly blessed!

Weekend Fun

This weekend was very rare!  We found ourselves at home with nothing to do.........Maddie had a couple of soccer practice games, but we didn't go.  We didn't go, and she scored a goal.......I hate we missed that, but we did enjoy some time in the yard, a little fishing and a nice, long boat ride.

I love early morning visits with this one.  He is growing so fast!  He will be 2 months old tomorrow.  He is smiling and trying to talk. Absolutely precious!

Taylor took this while on a walk today. Could he be any cuter?

Lindsey shared this picture this weekend!  He's ready for anything that pool throws at him! I'd say chances of him going under are slim to none! This little one keeps up smiling!

Just a few pictures from our fishing trip.  Reed fished, and I monitored social media!!  It was a beautiful afternoon.  I did not take one picture from our river trip, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!  I am a water person!  We can't wait until this summer to enjoy trips with the little ones. Lindsey and Caleb grew up on the water, and we want our grandchildren to experience all it has to offer!

I never know what kind of selfies I am going to find when this one visits!  I could share quite a few, but this is one of my favorites. She is an adorable little mess!

Lindsey took this beautiful picture. She is truly precious!

And in honor of that goal we missed, here's our big girl!  We could not be prouder!
