Beach, Cuties and Thirty Eight

I was able to spend a few days at the beach with Caleb, Taylor and the boys.  With Marco in the Gulf, we weren't sure how much time we'd actually get to spend on the beach.  We were thrilled that we were able to get several hours a day in!  An overcast day at the beach is truly better than a sunny day anywhere else.  Reed and I are actually headed back this weekend, and I can't wait.  Back to back weekends at the beach just can't be beat!

Jack enjoyed his beach trip! The overcast skies actually made it much more tolerable for him.

John Sawyer also had a great time even though it was too rough to get in the water!

Smile!

Precious family!

Happy Baby!

He loves his momma!

This sweetie had a ball!

Love spending time with these boys! So glad I got to tag along.

I left the beach and actually went back to Alex City to spend some time with these cuties before school starts back.  I eventually made it back home, and am packing to head back to the beach.

And happy anniversary to us!  Thirty eight years has literally flown by!  Who knew that prom date in the eleventh grade would result in such a wonderful life?  We have been incredibly blessed!

So Long Summer

Maddie, Lillian and Reed still have several days before they go back to school, so they have been able to visit with us for the week.  We have had a ball, but are all pretty tired!  We try to cram in as much as possible when they are here.  This visit has included lots of pool time, a river trip, a little fishing and hanging out with John Sawyer. I treasure these times!  We actually have a couple of quick beach trips coming up, and I just can't wait for that. This post has lots of pictures, because we had lots of fun!!

River trips are among my very favorite things! I am so glad we have been able to carry on this tradition with our sweet grandchildren.

Lillian makes skiing look super easy!

Maddie has got this slalom thing down pat!  And yes, she reminds me of her mom.

There's no nap quite like a river nap!

No hands! She's holding the rope with her feet!

So pretty and peaceful.

Watching sister.

Now on to the pool!  John Sawyer loves cousin time.

And so does Belle!

What a back dive!

We can't wait until Jack can join us!

These are the days that I am going to miss when school starts back!

John Sawyer loved his first day back at school.  Such a big boy!

Hanging out with Jack!  Isn't he a doll?

That's one full bed!

Back to school for us!

Our Birthday Girl

Even though the 39 hours of labor seems like yesterday, it seems impossible that we have a 34 year old!  Where in the world did the time go? Our precious little girl grew into a beautiful young woman in the blink of an eye.  We love you, and are so proud of you!  Enjoy your day!

Just a few of my favorite pictures of the birthday girl

Happy Birthday to you!
