Eight

Eight years ago, we were blessed with the most precious young lady ever.  Lillian is tenderhearted, funny, smart, beautiful, and just about as close to perfect as you can be.  She is a rising third grader, who has greatly missed her friends during this pandemic. She loves playing the piano, softball, her brother and sister (and mom and dad), gymnastics, kayaking, swimming and more.  Please don't tell her, but we are planning on surprising her tomorrow for her birthday!

Mia is enjoying some Lillian snuggles! I think she might just resemble her mom here a little bit!!

Strawberries, Tractors and Such

Things continue to slowly move forward here, as we continue to social distance.  Pop is busy working on Papa's house.  It's a process, but we are seeing lots of progress.  More to come later on that. Fingers are crossed and prayers are being lifted for Baby Jack to make his arrival literally any second now. We can't wait to welcome him to the family.  Lindsey and Josh have gone above and beyond to entertain their babies, as they continue to hunker down.  I have no words for how much I have missed them.

Today was strawberry farm day!! They picked two gallons, and all three assured me that they were delicious!

Yummy!

Precious!  They are getting so big!

This is something I have never done, and I think I would really enjoy it.

They also got new kayaks, and headed out for a new adventure.  The kids loved it!!

I can't wait to head east, and hopefully bring this babies back for a visit.

This newly potty trained cutie is waiting for baby brother to arrive!

He is pretending to be asleep and snoring!  Too cute!

He loves Pop's tractor.

May

Not much new happening around here.  We are still hunkered down and not venturing out much. I literally can't wait to see the other three grandbabies across the state.  I am hoping that happens this week.  We are also very anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Jack.  I can't believe it's finally time for his arrival. There is nothing more precious than a newborn, and we can't wait to welcome him into the family.

Lindsey has done an excellent job of keeping these three occupied during this time.  Each day has been a new adventure.

They built a tree house and rock wall this week. They also have enjoyed exploring the creek.

We are thrilled that this little one loves the pool this year!  These cool nights have cooled it down again, so it may be another week or so before we try again. He's also quite the little worker.
This picture does not do these beautiful roses justice.  Reed's mom shared some with him several years ago, and they have been just gorgeous this year!  I plan on posting on some of the flowers blooming in Papa and Grandmother's yard.  We have been busy working in their yard-cleaning, thinning out, moving beds, and more.  I think that they would be thrilled that we have multiple things that are blooming that haven't bloomed in years. Lindsey has also planted multiple bulbs from there, and we can't wait to see how they do. More on that soon.

And for some strange reason, a mama bird decided our backyard with not 1, but 2 bird dogs was the perfect place to raise her babies.  She also built her next above my swing bed.......I am happy to say they finally flew the coup, and weren't eaten!  Pop and I actually got to see them take flight.

This little hot mess is growing like crazy.  She is as sweet as she can be, and as active as 10 normal puppies!  Still moments like this don't last long!

This sweet lady has a special birthday tomorrow!  Happy 30th to you!  We are very much hoping that this is the day they go from a family of 3 to a family of 4. Fingers crossed!
