So Long April!

What  a week!  I spent a couple of days in Alex City. I was able to go on the gifted field trip with Lillian and Reed, watch Reed play soccer and hang out with the others some.  We also ventured down to Andalusia for Maddie's Sectional Track Meet.  She qualified for state in the 3200, 1600, 800 and the 4 x 800 relay.  There are no words for how proud we are of her dedication to this sport that she loves so much. She works so very hard, and it definitely shows.  We will be in Cullman this weekend for the State tournament. I have missed the little ones this week, but I'm going to make sure I get lots of time with them this week.

This was a really fun fieldtrip to Auburn.  After attending the Birds of Prey exhibit, we ate lunch at a wonderful park, and then ended the day at the trampoline park.  Lillian is still recovering from the injury to her hand, so she had to be super careful.

Fun at the park

This was probably a no-no, but she was only on this for about 30 seconds.

This one had a ball at the trampoline park.  Lillian played lots of video games, but she had a good time, too.

Reed had a great soccer game while I was there. (No pictures.)  We are heading back tomorrow for his championship game.  He has had a great season.

This is Independence.  He is one of Auburn's birds that flies in the stadium prior to football games.  This was a very informative program. However, Roll Tide!

We are so very proud of this one!!  Her dedication and work ethic are amazing.  We can't wait for State!

While there, Pop, Lillian and I headed over to check out the Conecuh Sausage store.

We headed back in time to see Maddie wrap things up with another qualifying time for state.  She will compete in 4 events.  Wow!

In between events, I have been spending lots of time in the yard.  I love this time of year!

More to come!

April Happenings

April is just flying by! I am loving the warm weather. I was very worried about the damage the cold weather did to some of our plants. While we did have some issues, the roses, iris, day lilies and more are just beautiful. I have enjoyed soccer, track meets and baseball games this month. It’s hard to believe that spring sports will soon be winding down. I’m looking forward to a field trip and more baseball, track and soccer this week. We have so missed Lillian playing this season. There is a chance that she will get to play in her last game of the season. Fingers crossed.

This one got the game ball due to two great hits. His team has had an awesome season.

Maddie has had another great track season.  Next week, we will travel to sectionals in Andalusia.  The following weekend, the season will end with state in Cullman.  So proud of her!

And what a great season this one is having!!  Love watching him play!

Cutest yard man around!

There's no fun like sand pile fun.

Check out this big ole frog!!

John Sawyer let him go......And then searched and searched until he found it again.  After carrying him in a bucket for a little bit, we released him.

time!

I can't believe I haven't posted since Easter.  We love Sunrise Services across the river.

Love these guys so much!

Until next time!

Fourteen

Fourteen years ago, our lives changed in ways we never really knew existed.  We were introduced to this wonderful world of grandparenting.  Maddie has been such an incredible blessing since the moment she entered the world!  What a pleasure it has been to watch her grow into such a sweet, kind loving young lady.  We could not be prouder of the awesome person she is to us all!

Just a few photos of the past 14 years-

We hope you have the best day ever!! We love you bunches.
Happy Birthday!
