Softball Fun

June has been a very busy month, and I’m actually sad to see it end. We have watched Lillian play in softball tournaments every weekend, and we have loved every second of it. They finished the state tournament 4th out of 32 teams. Now, I am going to brag for just a minute-Lillian made a really outstanding play at 2nd.   The umpire actually turned around and said to our group that was the best defensive play he had seen from this age group. Needless to say, I quickly said that was my granddaughter. She loves it so much, and we are so proud of her! She's focused, always eager to play, and even enjoys practice!  The pictures are in no particular order.  When you play back to back to back games on multiple days, they all just kind of run together.

What a team!

Just a little hint of a smile, right before she had her first bat in the first game of the tournament.

Holding down second base.

Crossing home plate.

Headed to first!

Pregame fun!

Love this girl!

Another hit!

Trophy and medal time

Hanging out in between games. Did I mention it was hot, hot, hot?

Maddie got to keep the scoreboard a couple of games, and she had the best helper!

Smiling at Nana from the scorebox.

Jack and Reed - so sweet! Reed and Maddie have been quite the troopers supporting their sister.

Headed to the playground in between games.

We can't wait until next year for another fun season!

Worse Blogger Ever

I just can't seem to catch up with blogging these days.  These are suppose to be lazy days of summer, but so far it's been an extremely busy one!  We have had lots of fun, but are just staying on the go. Ballgames and more ballgames, a birthday party, VBS, swim lessons and day to day life are keeping us on our toes.

Reed had his birthday party last Wednesday, because we would be busy with ballgames on the weekend.  John Sawyer got to ride on Jovi before we headed to the soccer field for the party.
Reed and a few of his friends met at the soccer fields, and played lots of cute little soccer games that only his daddy (the soccer coach) could come up with!!  They all had lots and lots of fun! He wanted donuts and donut holes for his cake!  It was so windy at the field that he got to blow his candle out again when he got home.
We were back in Wetumpka this weekend for more softball.  These girls started their last game at midnight. They played 5 games in a row with no break!

It's all good though, when you leave with a big old trophy! Pop and I got back to the hotel and in bed at 2:30. It's all worth it to see this one play!

John Sawyer loved his first VBS, and we enjoyed his closing program.

John Sawyer also enjoyed swimming lessons with Ms. Mel the week of Bible School.  She is the best!  He is almost swimming on his own!

Maddie enjoyed a few days at 4-H camp.  I borrowed these pictures from their site.

No way!!!

This precious one is growing like crazy!  He is just a joy!

We are headed to Hoover this weekend for the state softball tournament.  At last count, there were 31 teams scheduled to play. Whew!

Seven

It is so hard to believe that this soccer playing, non-stop, mama loving, boot wearing soon to be second grader is turning seven!  This blue-eyed blonde is going to break hearts one day.  He is an awesome baby brother to his sisters, loves to hunt and fish, and is 100% all boy!  We love you so, and can't wait to celebrate you!  More to come on his party!

Just a few of my recent favorite pictures-

Soccer Champs in All Stars!

Taking time to smile at Nana during his game!!!

Hanging out at one of many ballparks watching his sister play!

                                                               Happy Birthday Reed!
Next up, more softball, 4 H camp and Bible School.
