January Keeps Dragging On

This month just keeps dragging along.  I normally enjoy cold weather, but I am totally over it this winter.  Come on Spring - I'm ready for you!  Also, we have had several weeks off from sports, and I am ready to hit the road again and watch everyone play.  That actually will start in a couple of weeks with Maddie and soccer and track.  I honestly can't wait!

Reed and Lindsey enjoyed the Mother and Son dance.  The girls enjoyed the Ball at the Bend dance.  Both of these events, (along with a Father and Daughter dance) were sponsored by the Track and Field team.  That meant Lindsey had lots of work to do, but they all still had a great time.

This one loves his mom!

Love these pretty girls!

Sadly, we got very little snow and just enough ice to keep us stranded a few days.

Our neighborhood road

These two hung out with us one day when school was closed and mom and dad had to work.  They were excited to go outside, but didn't last too long.  We had lots of fun inside though.

After school at Waffle House!  Is there anything better?

More to come!

What a Month!

It's the middle of January, and this is my first blog of the year.  For the third time, I have been dealing with Covid.  I truly thought I was coming down with the flu, and was shocked when I tested positive.  I made a second trip to the doctor after still not feeling well only to discover I was still positive for Covid, and had a sinus infection and bronchitis.  Excuse me while I whine, but I am totally over this. Today is my 10th day, and it just needs to move on........ I am hoping that by the first of the week, things will be back to normal.  The big kids did get to spend a few days here, and I have had the little ones a couple of times.

Pop and the boys went on a little coon hunt one afternoon (or so they thought).

Some days were just made for a cozy fire, staying in your pj's and chilling.
We love this train set, too.

Belle loves having the grandbabies here!

She will also be very glad when spring arrives.  In the past, I have loved cold winter days, but I am over it this year.  I am ready to complain about how hot it is.  Bring on pool days!

Lindsey shared these pictures of their fun day working outside.  I really miss these guys.  I am happy to say that I do have some upcoming days to see them.

They spent New Year's at Dauphin Island.

This sweet girl will turn 15 this spring.  We did a little driving practice during her last visit.

I love how they all love each other.  Makes this Nana's heart so happy.

No stress for this one!!

They have had so much fun with this Mario and Bowser cars!

John Sawyer wanted to make a cake, so that's what we did.  It was delicious!

Hopefully, I will do a better job blogging the rest of the year.  More to come!
