Softball, Soccer and Drones

Another busy weekend is in the books.  We left early Saturday morning for a travel ball tournament for Lillian.  I just love watching her play!  She has played with most of these girls for several years now, and we have loved getting to know parents and grandparents of her teammates. We have another fairly busy week ahead.  But, as of now we will be home this weekend.  No one is playing anything!  That is definitely a change. I am pretty sure Pop will have some tractor time.  Right now, I'm not sure what my plans will be.

This one is wrapping up his regular season, and he has had another great year.  Next up will be All-Stars.   I love that his dad is the coach, and they get to experience this together.

The Black Widows had a great weekend.  She played short stop this weekend.  They were undefeated and won this tournament.

It's great to win, but it's even better to have fun while doing it!

Champs!

Love that bling! (And the smile)!

Check out Pop in the background!

And what do you do after you get your bling?  You grab some friends and head to the creek that runs through the ballpark!!

Making memories!  They may not remember this tournament in years to come, but I promise you they will remember this!!

John Sawyer saw someone flying a drone in his neighborhood recently.  He was thrilled when he learned Pop also had a drone.  (Pop has the very best toys)!  I actually checked him out of school a little early, so he could come fly it.

Pop actually flew all around our side of town, but he zoomed in here to get JS and the backyard.

On another note, we are going to miss these flowers this winter.  (Not the watering, just the flowers).  It won't be long until pansies will be growing here.  We've also got to thin out the plants in the goldfish pond.

It's like a little bird in the sky!

That's all for now!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to you!  Thanks so much for just being you.  What would we do without you!  We hope you have the best year ever! You are loved more than you will ever know.......

I've included just a few pictures from the past year highlighting some of your many roles-husband, father, Pop, hunter, provider, supporter, chief griller, snake wrangler, fisherman, game player & watcher, boat captain, and more!

It's been a really great year.  Happy Birthday to you!

Sports, Mud Puddles and More

I feel like I am always catching up on this blog. I left home around 4:20 and headed to Clay Central for Maddie's Cross Country meet this past Saturday.  Once again, she raced hard and finished strong!  We are so very proud  of her dedication.  I can't explain how intense these races are.  I love watching her do what she loves!  After the race, Lindsey and Josh headed to Orange Beach for a conference, and I headed to their house to keep the kids.  Don't get me wrong-they do all the work.  They are a well oiled machine!  They make their own lunches, get their clothes ready, and do all the things! I'm just there to provide transportation, and I enjoyed every minute.  Pop and I tagged up, and he took over there while I headed back to attend Grandparent's Day with John Sawyer. Next weekend will be Lillian's turn.  We'll be back at a field somewhere for travel ball (softball).  We can't wait!

Is there anything more fun than Candy Land?

We love a good hill!  And if you can do it in the rain and just a diaper, it's even more fun.

We also love a good mud puddle!

Go Maddie Go!

And I can't leave out our soccer player.  He has truly made me a fan.  These pictures are a little blurry.

I can't imagine anything more special than being a grandparent!

More to come!
