Thirty Six

Happiness really is being married to your best friend!  Forty -four years ago, we met in ninth grade home room.  Our first date was our junior prom.  We married thirty six years ago, during our senior year of college. Now, two children, a wonderful son in law and daughter in law, and four precious grandchildren later, I wouldn't change a thing! No marriage is without challenges, but we've had many, many more ups than downs.  There is truly no one I would rather spend my days with!

Babies!! We were both 20 when we married!

Just a few pictures of recent adventures-

San Francisco

Somewhere in California......

Always smiles with these guys!

Celebrating the news that we were getting another new little one!

How many beach trips have we taken?? Each one has been a blast!

Lots of pumpkin patch visits!
My people-

Celebrating the victories (and even defeats) is always fun!

Grand Canyon

Hoover Dam

Las Vegas

Another sweet angel to love!

What a blessing these 36 years have been!!

Let the adventure continue!

Rather Slow

Things are rather slow in the world of blogging right now.  However, we have a gymnastics meet this weekend and are leaving for Disney next weekend.  I think we have either a ballgame or gymnastics meet every weekend through November. Lots of fun times ahead!

I love picking this cutie up early from daycare!  He is just a joy!

Uh oh!

Back to this cutie!  He loves rolling over and playing with his feet!

Serious conversation with Pop!

 Until next time!

Catching Up

We are all getting settled in to a new school year.  Schedules, getting up earlier, and not seeing the babies as much are taking some time to get use to.  I am beginning the fourth year of my semi retired life, and I just love it!  I love my job, and I love the flexibility it offers.

Maddie, Lillian and Reed enjoyed a birthday party for a special friend at Lake Martin today. Pop has  a couple of these kayaks, and I'm pretty sure we'll be getting them out soon!

She is growing up so fast!

John Sawyer is just precious!  His little personality is really shining through!

Just precious!

And the competition season is starting for Maddie!  She's at a new gym now, and we are all ready to see her perform again.  They had a mock meet against Troy, and as always we were super proud of her! We will be very busy the next few months with her gymnastics and Lillian's cheerleading.  Did I mention that we are going to Disney World in a couple of weeks? Whew!!

It's a family affair!

Back to School

These three cuties are loaded up and headed to school with their mom.  They are very fortunate to be able to spend each day with her at their K-12 school!  We now have a fourth grader, 1st grader and big K4 student. I hope they always start school with a smile.  It's a great feeling knowing they are in an environment that they love. In addition to a full school day, Lillian is busy with cheerleading, and Maddie's gymnastics journey continues with lots and lots of practices each week.

Loaded up and headed to school!

I just can't wait to see how this year goes for this one!!

Our 4th grader!! This one loves to read, learn and explore!

And our sweet 1st grader!  I'm a little partial to first grade!  I can't wait to see how much she learns this year! It's amazing how much they grow physically and mentally in first grade.

I pray she always loves school this much!

Here's to a great year!!!!

All About the Boys

We got to hang out with Reed for an extra week after the girls started to school.  He is in the preK program, and they do a staggered start with only a few students going each day.  We made the most of his one on one time, although we always miss the girls.  It's hard to believe school has begun, and our fun get togethers will not be nearly as frequent now. Sweet John Sawyer is settled into daycare now.  He is smiling, laughing, rolling over and just being a cutie!

Reed's all about tractors and his boots.  He's also happiest in his jeans!

He and Pop had lots of fun fishing trips!

Those blue eyes are going to break hearts one day!

Hanging out with Miss Cathy's kids is always a hit!

We wrapped up this visit with a visit to this fine establishment on the way back home.  He had a ball and won some top grade prizes!

And the jury is still on how this one feels about sweet potatoes!  His personality is really starting to shine!  He is just precious!

Next up, more on the girls and the start to back to school.
