Hey Coach!

A new soccer season has begun!  Maddie is once again playing and loving it.  This year is just a little different, and just a little more special.  Josh has put on a jersey himself and become the coach of her team.  Although he is a devoted soccer fan, coaching is new to him.  However, he has the patience, temperament, and knowledge of the game to make him the perfect person for the job! I can't help but smile when I think of all the hours Reed spent coaching both Lindsey and Caleb.  We made lots and lots of memories, and I know these two will also! He is leaving an imprint on Maddie that will last a lifetime!

Suited up and ready for the first game!  (Even Daisy was excited!)

A little pregame fun!

And no need to worry-the super heroes on the sidelines are busy keeping the field safe for all!

And she's off!  Run! Run! Run!

I am slowly (very, very slowly) sorta, kinda beginning to understand this game! Offense, defense, corner kicks, penalty kicks, and lots of fancy footwork make this fast paced game fun to watch!

I love her determination!

And I love that he's there experiencing it all with her and her teammates!

Reed and Lillian are also big supporters of their sister! Or maybe they just enjoy the uninterrupted playtime? Either way, they are quite the troopers!

Love this sweet girl!

Sadly, this game did not end in a victory.  But it was the beginning of a new journey, and I am so glad to be along for the ride!  I predict lots and lots of exciting times ahead!  Lillian also has her first softball game next week.  How awesome is that?!

And in case you were wondering, this little nugget is simply awesome!!

Spring Fishing

It was a beautiful day for a little fishing.  Lindsey, Josh and the kids came for a quick visit to see the baby, and we managed to squeeze in a quick fishing trip. Pop bought a used pontoon boat last year that has proven to be perfect for loading the little ones up for these adventures!  We love creating sweet memories with these babies!

Ready or not fish, here they come!!

This sweet girl pretty much does it all by herself now!

This one keeps a close eye on the minute bucket!  That's where the real action is!

And this one loves his mama!!

A little wind didn't stop us from having a great time!

Chilling out!! No stress here!

We were beginning to think that we weren't going to catch any, and then our luck began to change!

Good job!

Just making sure those minnows are still ok!

It doesn't matter that the pole is way bigger than him!!  Pulling him in!!

Reed's getting a little support from his sweet sister!

And then it was her turn to catch another one!

Another one for Reed!

I love that smile!

We were beginning to think that this just wasn't Maddie's day, and then she quickly caught a couple!

Wrapping it up and heading in!

This little nugget continues to grow!  We are all wrapped tightly around his precious little fingers!

I have been super behind in the world of blogging lately.  We have just been a little busy!  Much more to come-dying eggs, soccer and more!

And Then There Were Four

Pop and I have come along way since our first date (Our Junior Prom) thirty nine years ago.  Two wonderful children, an awesome son and daughter in law, and now not 3, but 4 grandchildren make our life pretty amazing! We have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams! As I share these pictures of our new bundle of joy, I must add that Taylor was simply amazing during her pregnancy and delivery.  It has also been wonderful to watch both of them settle with ease into the role of new parents.  He's a very blessed little one! I am sharing just a few of the pictures of his first day.  Parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, aunts and more waited patiently during the day for his entrance into the world!

This is blurry, but this was the first thing I saw when the grandparents entered the room shortly after his birth.  There's just something about seeing your baby holding his baby that tugs at your heart! That smile pretty much sums up how we all were feeling!

A love like no other.......

Nana and Pop were instantly in love!

And so were Tamma and Chief Pop!

So sweet!

Proud Daddy!

Next up, the sisters!  For some reason, I never seem to get a picture of Tristan.  I'm going to work on that! He was there, and just as thrilled as the sisters.

This was taken shortly before he was born.  Sweet, sweet girls!

Doesn't she look wonderful! And how cute is that precious little one!  They were headed home here!

Sweet family of three! Four if you count Levi!

Here, he is wearing the outfit that both Reed and Caleb wore home.  So sweet!

These three were thrilled to have a new cousin!

Four generations of Marines

And this one is four generations of Marines and a Smith! :)

Lots and lots of love in this picture, and we can't wait to share it with our new little one!

Lindsey gently reminded me before he was born that I couldn't bother them everyday...........however, I seem to find lots of reasons to visit each day!  There's nothing quite like early morning snuggles!  He is a truly wonderful baby, and we are all so in love with this sweet little bundle! Next post, I will share more of the great grandparents!  This one has lots and lots of people to love on him!
