She Did It!!

I know that I said in my last post that it would probably be our last trip to the river.  Well, it turns out that this was not true!  Caleb has been trying to teach Brooke to ski.  She almost had it, so we decided that we would head out after church and put the finishing touches on her skiing.  I must first say that she did a great job getting up.  However, she was a little nervous when she hit the top of the water.  Practice makes perfect, and by the end of the day, she was doing great!!!

More River Fun

I think I mentioned earlier that we had a small leak in the boat.  Reed worked on it and wanted to be sure it was fixed.  So, we again head out for a quick, but fun trip.  We have enjoyed these trips with Caleb.  We just don't get to do this sort of thing as often as we'd like.

This is one of the most peaceful places in the world to me!

I have a feeling that this was probably our last trip of the summer.  However, it was a beautiful day, and another great memory.  And, the boat was fixed!

Wow!  I can't believe how fast these 24 years have flown by!  It seems like only yesterday that you entered our lives.  What a blessing you have been!  We are so proud of the wonderful wife, mother, and teacher you have grown to be.  No matter what though, you will always be our little girl.  We love you.  Happy Birthday!!

She's Back!!

Maddie is back for the week, and we couldn't be happier.  We got back from picking her up around 3:40 this afternoon.  Within the next 3 hours we played in the sandbox twice, got in the pool, climbed up and down the the stairs, blew bubbles, rode on the little train, helped Caleb and Brooke study, climbed on most of the furniture, played with the dogs, had a bath in the sink, ate supper, and had another bath.  I can't wait to see what is in store for us the rest of the week.  This will probably be my last blog of the week................ I intend to enjoy every moment of Maddie.  Have a great week!!
