Storytime

What can be better than play-doh, singing, stories,and an art project?  Reed got to experience all of this at story time at the library.  He jumped right in and had a great time!  Mrs. Frances is the new librarian and did an awesome job!

The First Haicut

 Lindsey had scheduled a haircut for Reed sometime back, but the hairdresser actually cancelled. In reality, we had put it off as long as we could.  Lindsey and Josh only requested that we not cut off the curls.  So, the result is a really cute mullet!!  Pop and I decided we'd let his parents take him for the cutting of the curls!

Reed could not have been any better. He sat up tall and straight, and did everything Mr. Tony asked him to do. Mr. Tony could not have been any better either.  You could tell he has definitely been doing this a while!!

Boys and Their Toys

I've heard it said that the best thing you can give your children and grandchildren are memories.  We are making lots and lots of memories with this sweet boy this week!  So far, he has a bump on his forehead and cheek, a couple of new bruises, and he had an allergic reaction to his medicine.  Each bump and bruise came with a little dirt and sweat and lots of fun!  We are making the most of our time with this little one.

A new version of tailgating!  We went with Pop to fly the drone, and it just happened to be almost supper time!

The best days end in dirty clothes (and dirty faces)!

Make no mistake about it-he is Pop's boy through and through!  They are best buddies!  

Well, since the girls were enjoying themselves in Disney World, we thought it was only fair that he got a new tractor!  He loved it, but he's going to have to grow into this one.  Maddie and Lillian are going to have to help him a little bit, too!  I think they are going to love it!!

And speaking of the girls, they enjoyed downtown Disney!  They got their autograph books and some souvenirs, and are ready to tackle all the parks! I'm going to save all of the park photos for a post of its own!  

Something About a Tractor Man

Lindsey, Josh and the girls packed up and went to Disney World, and Reed packed up and came to Nana and Pop's house.  The girls have been so excited about this trip, and I just know they are to have the time of their lives!  Nana and Pop are going to do our best to make things just as fun for Reed. Also, Uncle C and Aunt Tay are in Texas, so not only do we have the grandson, we also have the granddog.

Visits with Papa are among our favorite things to do!

He doesn't like to stay in the pool long, but he has lots of fun while it lasts.

Snack time with his buddies!  Gus seems to like goldfish crackers as much as Reed.

I have mentioned several times that Reed loves tractors.  I really can't emphasize the word "loves" enough.  I mean, he's obsessed!!  He wakes up wanting to ride and goes to bed wanting to ride. And by tractors, I mean the gator, Mrs. Jean's tractor, the lawnmower, the Ranger, the front end loader, and the regular tractor.  I think the lawnmower might be his favorite.

Luckily, Pop needed some help getting a dove field ready.  Best helper ever!!!

All was well, until he thought Pop was leaving him! Then things turned ugly pretty quickly!  Pop was just starting the tractor, and waiting for me to hand him up!
