19 days early - weighing in at 7 lbs. 10 ounces and 20 inches long!

Bed Buddies and Peppers

Maddie and Lillian will soon be sharing a bedroom with the arrival of their baby brother.  Pop made each of them a beautiful twin bed.  Pop is actually quite talented.  He is also a perfectionist, so it takes him just a little bit of time to complete a project.  I have requested a couple of things, but I have been told that he's taking a break for awhile!  I think the girls will treasure these beds for years to come!!

 This is a view taken from the shop.  There are 3 storage compartments on each size.  Lots of treasures can be hidden here!!

It was quite a challenge to get into the house and into the girls room.  Reed, Josh, and Uncle C worked pretty hard on this.  They each weigh a ton!  Pop told them if they ever moved, they would just have to leave them with the house. (Pop is adding a plaque on the back that says, "Love always, Pop" and the date.)

Taylor got in on the fun, too! Hasn't Max grown?

Monogrammed shams are on the way to complete the beds.  Aren't they beautiful?  Maddie says the first night they both sleep in here, they are going to talk all night!!

And on a different note, Little Bit loves to help Pop garden.

Sand, Rides, and VBS

We are all hunkered down, patiently waiting on Baby Reed's arrival.  Lindsey is still having to take it very easy due to blood pressure concerns, so the girls are back for another visit.  Next Monday, he will make his grand entrance - 19 days early.  Our days are packed full with fun while we wait!  Maddie actually asked to go to bed at 7:00 o'clock tonight.


Nine months pregnant and still smiling!!  Most of her days are spent taking it easy, but we wanted to get this picture of her and Baby Reed.

This one had a ball at VBS.  She made lots of new friends, and learned lots more about Jesus.  She also got to march in with the Bible one day, and she was the official bell ringer each day!

Papa got to ride with us one day.  Lillian thinks Papa is the best!!

Helping Pop drive is lots of fun for both girls!

No visit is ever complete without a trip to the sand piles!

Individually these girls are mighty, but together they will conquer the world!!

Summer Fun

The girls went home for the weekend, but will return today for more fun.  We are anxiously waiting for Baby Reed's arrival.  Plans are for him to arrive on June 16 unless he changes his mind and decides to come even earlier!  Lindsey is still taking it very easy, and trying to keep her blood pressure under control as she waits. We have had lots and lots of fun with the girls, and I have missed them like crazy this weekend.  I have taken surprisingly few pictures, but trust me each day has been packed full!

Pop and this little model had a fun afternoon of fishing one day!

One day Maddie suddenly decided she'd just take off and swim!!  Now she's like a little fish!!

Little Bit is all over the place, too!!  It's great having little water bugs!

Cathy's kids still swim every afternoon.  Lillian acts like one of the big kids when it's popsicle time!!

This is one of my all time favorite pictures of the girls.  I think it sums up this visit pretty well!  We've had a ball.

Barnyard Fun

Pop, Maddie, Lillian and I spent a recent morning enjoying the Tuscaloosa Barnyard.   What a wonderful morning we had!!  Donkeys, ducks, pigs, ponies, rabbits, goats and a hayride make for an awesome time when your 2 and 5 (or slightly older like Nana and Pop).  This was a great trip, and I look forward to taking them back!

This precious 2 week old goat followed us all around!  I wanted to bring him home. The girls were fascinated!

We were each given a bucket of feed to share with all the animals.  The girls and the animals enjoyed the treats! The peacock was gorgeous!

This little piggy was squealing at the top of his lungs.  It was just a little too much for Little Bit!  She liked him-from a distance.  

They were able to pet and feed baby chicks, ducks and bunnies.

Minature cow-Honestly, I thought he was pretty big for a miniature.  Ducks galore!

Lillian didn't want to miss a thing.  Her favorite animal of all was the cute little dog that followed us around.

And to top it all off-a hayride, swings and popsicles!!

This was the only thing I didn't like-Maddie holding the rat.  The cute little girl tried explaining to me how clean it was, how sweet it was, etc.  All I could think about was how it needed to be in a trap!

In case you run in to Lillian, don't tell her that the day we went to the farm was actually her 2nd birthday.  Her sweet mama has been in the hospital with blood pressure problems and severe migraines, so they postponed her party.  (Her doctor wants Baby Reed to try and hold off a couple more weeks, if possible.) Lillian did get to eat a cupcake for breakfast, though!!
