Lillian's personality is really starting to shine. While visiting, I walked into the den early in the morning. She was quietly and contently playing with her toes! I love this age when they start grasping, reaching and discovering things around them. Precious, Precious, Precious!!!

Yea Alabama
Reed, Maddie and I enjoyed Alabama's Homecoming Parade this past weekend. Even though it was quite chilly, Maddie seemed to enjoy all the festivities. Being the lifelong Alabama fans that we are, I enjoyed seeing the softball, gymnastics and golf national champions in the parade. The band and cheerleaders were great too, but Maddie's favorite were all of the "princesses" in the parade. She kept asking where Cinderella was.......I tried to convince her that Cinderella was just wearing a different color dress that day, but she wasn't buying that! All members of the Homecoming Court were in crimson or houndstooth and that certainly didn't look like Cinderella to her. In addition to the parade, we enjoyed visiting the Hands on Museum (More on that later!) and TTown Tailgate, too.
"If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards."-Bear Bryant
Even Santa is a Bama fan! Maddie has not been a big fan of Santa in the past, but things are looking more promising for this year. She had no trouble at all talking to him!
Waiting on the parade.....

After our fun day, we headed home to watch the ballgame, and
in the words of Bear Bryant,
"Winning isn't everything, but it sure beats coming in second."

Working 9 to 5
Actually, that should be working from 6:45 until whenever. Lucky for me, I have the best co-workers a person could ever ask for. If they weren't so wonderful, I am pretty sure I would be retired by now!! No two days are ever the same, yet each one is special and unique! Here are just a few of the reasons that I enjoy my job so much!
I absolutely hate snakes! However, Phyllis had a ball at our recent snake show!! There's nothing a country girl won't do! Yuck! I would have nightmares for a week!

Love, love, love my sweet friends Houston & Lisa!

Isn't this precious? Beverly, Jennifer, Mr. Smart and Melva are saying, "Howdy to a Drug Free School!" I said it was our sheriff with some of his deputies!
I am so thankful to have a job and coworkers that I love!

Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch
Lindsey and Lillian met us at the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch to pick up Maddie. This is our third year to visit, and it's a great place for kids of all ages. Maddie loves it all- the HUGE jumpers, petting zoo, pony rides, hay ride, tractor train, and more! She is like her mom-very adventurous and so much fun!!
These inflatables are huge!
Chatting with Pop about how fast she came down the slides!
Little Bit was checking everything out!
Goats, Pigs, cows, and horses!
Wonderful hayride! She spent about 30 seconds looking for the perfect pumpkin!

Small Town Fun
Aliceville recently blocked off Main Street and hosted a cute little Fall Festival. While it was small, there was something for everyone- popcorn, snow cones, grilled wild game, a bow shoot, pumpkins to paint, and our favorite- a buggy led by 2 beautiful Clydesdales!! Maddie was here to enjoy the fun!!
Painting her pumpkin!
Snack time!
Sweet Allison!
Fun times with Friends!
Isn't this the neatest thing!?! Beth Powell brought Chip and Dale! So much fun!

Princesses, Pop and a Parade
I left school early recently, spent the night with the girls and then headed back with Maddie early the next morning. We got back in town just in time for Aliceville's Homecoming Parade. We've gotten really good at these quick trips. We are going to meet back in Clanton Sunday at the Pumpkin Patch. I can't wait for that!
First, the little Princess! She is growing so quickly. Lillian is simply precious! Here she is patiently waiting on a little applesauce!
After spending the night, Maddie and I load up and head across the state early the next morning. First, we get a little coloring in!

Guys Being Guys
We had a little impromptu picnic the other night. As Reed and Caleb were grilling, I asked if I could take their picture. Simple request, right?
Cheese!!
Not sure what to say about this one......
