Yea Alabama

Reed, Maddie and I enjoyed Alabama's Homecoming Parade this past weekend.  Even though it was quite chilly, Maddie seemed to enjoy all the festivities.  Being the lifelong Alabama fans that we are, I enjoyed seeing the softball, gymnastics and golf national champions in the parade.  The band and cheerleaders were great too, but Maddie's favorite were all of the "princesses" in the parade. She kept asking where Cinderella was.......I tried to convince her that Cinderella was just wearing a different color dress that day, but she wasn't buying that!  All members of the Homecoming Court were in crimson or houndstooth and that certainly didn't look like Cinderella to her. In addition to the parade, we enjoyed visiting the Hands on Museum (More on that later!) and TTown Tailgate, too.

Waiting on the parade.....

"If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards."-Bear Bryant

Even Santa is a Bama fan!  Maddie has not been a big fan of Santa in the past, but things are looking more promising for this year.  She had no trouble at all talking to him!

After our fun day, we headed home to watch the ballgame, and
in the words of Bear Bryant,
"Winning isn't everything, but it sure beats coming in second."
