Sweet Addie

There is nothing more precious than a sweet, newborn baby.  Lindsey's lifelong friend, Alanna and her husband Brent, recently welcomed Miss Addie Grace into the world.  She is a doll!  Brent and Alanna are simply the best parents. I tried to tell Gloria before Addie was born that you just can't imagine how wonderful being a grandparent is.....They are all totally in love! She and Richard (and Brent's parents) are going to spoil this one rotten!  Enjoy every minute of it!  Have I mentioned that we have another grandchild on the way?  We can't wait! Maddie has certainly being one of the greatest joys of our lives, and we know baby number 2 will only add to that! The closer it gets, the more excited we get!  Holding this sweet baby made me even more eager to meet our new bundle of joy!

Sandra and Tony have several minature ponies that are a perfect size for Maddie to ride.  They were out of town, but Kris and Anna were gracious enough to saddle Gardenia up and let Maddie ride one afternoon.  She had a ball!! 

Anna had Gardenia ready and led Maddie around several times before Pop took over.

Birthday Girls

We recently got together at the Cypress Inn to celebrate the upcoming birthday's of two special ladies - Aunt Di and Grandmother.  Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and the time spent together!  Happy Birthday!!!

A Perfect Afternoon

A beautiful, sunny winter afternoon, plus a dad and his son fishing, equals a perfect day!


The afternoon began with Reed "stocking" his new tackle box from Lindsey, Josh, & Maddie.

Fun with Maddie

Have I ever mentioned how much I love being a grandparent?  Or how much Reed loves being a grandparent?  It is simply the best!!  We recently had Maddie for a few days and while we didn't really do anything special, every second we have with her is a joy!!  We are both just a tad bit sad when these visits come to an end!  We also can't wait for baby number 2!!

Of course we had to try out the new big wheel on the hill! Uncle C offered some advice-slow down!!

Christmas at AES

I don't blog about my wonderful co-workers nearly enough! In honor of returning to work tomorrow, I thought I would share some Christmas at AES memories with you!!  I thoroughly enjoy the people I work with.  Each day is a new adventure!  As I think you will be able to see from the pictures, we have a ball together!  We all brought a dish, revealed who we drew for "Secret Santa", sang a Christmas carol, and then ended the day by playing "Dirty Santa." 

I simply love working with these sweet, special ladies.  Although, I must say that even though Lauri has a reputation of being all sweet and nice, she is the most wicked Dirty Santa player I know......Don't be fooled by that sweet smile!

Mr. Smart, our principal.  Can you imagine being the only man in an ocean of women?  Beverly was really getting into the Christmas carol!!

 Our gifts from our Secret Santa!  So much fun!!

Dirty Santa-We draw numbers, anxiously await our turn, pick out our present and then wait for it to be stolen! Jessica drew that magic last number and got to pick the present of her choice.  She was the lucky recipient of a Crock pot!  I must add that our PTO purchases all the gifts for Dirty Santa, and each gift is really nice!
