Another Quick Visit

Pop had a doctor's appointment Friday to check on his finger.  I am happy to report that it is healing nicely.  It's just going to take some time. After the appointment, we headed east to spend some time with the babies.  They are growing so quickly.  We will soon have birthday parties for all three.  So very hard to believe!!  I am still without a camera, so once again we snapped a few IPhone pictures.  Ugh!! Trying to get all three to sit still and look at the camera is always a challenge!  We had fun trying though!

Caleb just sent a picture of the granddog taking his Sunday afternoon nap.  Bless him!  He has a hard life!

And even though it's a little blurry, I wanted to share this one of our chunky monkey!!  He is just a joy!

The New Baby

Caleb and Taylor decided to expand their family with a new precious Goldendoodle named Levi!!  Most precious granddog ever!!  I took lots and lots of pictures of him, but once again my camera did not work!  He is very adventurous  and just a doll!!  We're going to have to get him together with Lindsey's Max.  That should be lots of fun!  I think everyone should have a dog!

And Then This Happened

Things were humming along smoothly Thursday morning at school when I got a call from Reed shortly after 8:00. He got into a little tussle with a table saw, and his left index finger was the victim. He is going to be fine after it heals, but it's quite difficult to look at now though. He did get into the bone, so we're not sure exactly what it will look like. There's just not much you can do for an injury like this.  We are very thankful though, because it could have been much, much worse! Did I mention that he was finishing up on my Christmas present when it happened? I'm thinking it may be my Mother's Day gift!!

Bless his heart!! He was a trooper!!

This and That

We have slowly been trying to get back to normal after all the wedding festivities of the past few months.  We had a wonderful time, but it's also nice to be settling back into familiar routines.  We have still been very busy, so there just hasn't been much time for blogging!!

Reed recently spent a day hanging with Rudy and Red at the Cameron's.  I told him that I thought that would be so much fun!!  He said fun might be stretching it a little, but I think he enjoyed his day!

This angel is everywhere now!!  He's growing up way too fast!!

These two have returned from Jamaica and are happily settling into married life!

And what do you do when your workshop ends a little early and you have about 45 minutes until your doctor's appointment?  Well, I chose to hang out at the Riverwalk!!  Gorgeous!!!

Lindsey and Maddie will be here this weekend!!  We can't wait.

Rehearsal

So, I am going backwards on these wedding posts, but please hang with me!!  First of all, Lauri had my camera at the rehearsal dinner.  You know that camera that had stopped working, but then decided to work again.  Well, when I put the card in the computer, not one single picture was on it!! A new one is now on my list of must haves!! Thank goodness, Phyllis had taken some with her IPhone!!

The rehearsal dinner was wonderful!! My sweet, sweet friends, (Lauri, Lori, Phyllis and Melanie) helped me decorate.  Sandra and her fabulous crew served a delicious meal.   The saxophone player dazzled us all night, and we had a great time with special family and friends.

Everything was just gorgeous!!

Tori, Lindsey and I are NOT plotting anything!!  Lots of great food, great toasts and great times!!

Close to Perfect

What a wonderful wedding!!  I simply don't think things could have been any better!!  The rehearsal,
rehearsal dinner, wedding, wedding reception, and everything just went about as smoothly as possible.  Everything was gorgeous and as special as these two are!!  The wedding director tried to give me a tissue as I was being escorted to my seat.  I assured her I would be fine!!  However, when Caleb's groomsmen gave him bear hugs, and Taylor cried sweet tears walking down the aisle, I almost broke out in the ugly cry!!  I got myself together, and then they said their own vows, and I almost lost it again.  I know I am prejudice, but it may have been the sweetest ceremony I have ever witnessed!!  Now, the are enjoying a few days in Jamaica, followed by a lifetime of happiness!!  I have so enjoyed all the parties and festivities.  It has been a joy getting to know her sweet family.

Friends, Family and a Wedding

In just a few short days, Caleb and Taylor will be saying "I do".  A couple of weeks ago, I had a brief moment of panic when I realized the big day was rapidly approaching.  I quickly regained my composure, and  reminded myself that as the mother of the groom, there was simply no need to panic!!  First of all, I've got a wonderful sister in law that is catering a great meal for us, and she let me go through her endless supply of goodies to use for decorations. Next, there is Phyllis who is allowing us to use her beautiful barn and table cloths for the rehearsal diner.  Then there's Ginger who says I have this, this and this-just let me know what you need.  I mean, how many people have friends with 120 gold chargers-(Not that I need that many) and table toppers that match the china I'm using from Sandra! Gloria is my monogramming and altering  queen! Then, there's Lauri, Lori, Stacy, Marnetta, Melanie, Jean and many others that have said, "Just tell us what you need us to do." Small towns are the best.  Small town friends are even better!!

I think they are just precious!!
