Trees and Wrestling

We had a quick but fun visit with these three cuties!  We actually did not do anything special, yet it was a very special visit!  I've learned that the simplest moments with these three make the best memories, and I'm all about making memories!

A little wrestling with a little gymnastics thrown in for fun!  Lillian grabbed my phone and enjoyed a little game time under a tree during this match!

 And this one is getting way too daring in this tree!!  She just keeps easing up higher and higher, and I don't like it one bit!!!  Pop is always near, and I am too!  The difference is I am telling her not to go any higher and to hold on tight!



The picture in the middle gives a pretty realistic picture of just how high she is!!  The problem is that this tree is really, really tall!  I have assured her that she has already gone as high as her mom, but I don't think she believes me!! Her goal seems to be to go higher than her mom when she was little! I think it may be time to chop this one down!!

Another highlight of this visit was playing in the dog kennel! And for the record, Lillian is still handing tight on the bottom limb!!

Cousin Time

Papa had not seen Riley is quite a while, so Christie brought her over for a visit!  We loved having them both.  There's nothing quite like spending time with cousins, and our three were thrilled to see her and play with her.  By the time they left, the kids weren't just cousins-they were friends!  We can't wait until our next visit.

It was a beautiful day outside, so there was lots and lots of tractor rides and even a little hide and seek in the Ranger..

They all took turns driving!  Riley was a little quiet at first, but soon she was all smiles and having a ball!

Aunt Sandra brought push ups, and they were a big hit!!

These two are 6 weeks apart!  I may be just a little partial, but aren't they just precious!

Holding hands makes swinging even more fun!  Maddie is awesome with the little ones!

Lillian loved getting some snuggle time with Aunt Sandra!

Tractor Man

 There really is something about a tractor man......No matter his age! This little guy is all boy, and he's all about his tractors both big and small!

Sometimes the ride is smooth....

Sometimes it needs a little push......

Or maybe a pull.......

Then it's smooth riding again!

Meals on Wheels

I've been stealing pictures again.......I blame it on Reed and Lillian's wonderful preschool, Jacob's Ladder.  They keep posting these precious pictures, and I just have to have them!


Read Across America Week

Hat Day-There are just no words!!  Love this sweet thing!!

Different children are chosen weekly to help with "Meals on Wheels". This week it was Lillian and her sweet friend Lee Ellen's turn. What a wonderful opportunity this is!  I love that they are being taught to help others at such an early age!!

They also stopped to pick some Camilla's along the way. 

I'd like to think that they are delivering  meals sprinkled with smiles, love, compassion and hope! This one has a heart of gold!

In addition to delivering meals, fun was had at every stop!

Who wouldn't love to have a meal delivered by these sweeties??

And just because I couldn't leave her out........Maddie and Beau

Josh is on call this weekend, but Lindsey and the kiddos are coming for the weekend.  We just can't wait!! 

Hunting Buddies

Although deer season has been over for a couple of weeks, hog season is never ending.  Maddie is all about killing a hog.  And Reed is all about hanging out with Pop and Maddie.  I'm not sure what Pop is going to do when Reed is a little older.  His shooting houses and stands are going to be rather crowded.  No worries for Lillian and me though!  The two of us will be quite comfortable at home.  I'm still pretty confident that hunting is not going to be her thing!


I think Maddie would live in the woods if she could!  She is starting a new adventure this spring-soccer!  We know absolutely NOTHING about the sport, but can't wait to watch her play! She is hanging up her softball glove at least for the season. Cheerleading and gymnastics keep her quite busy throughout the year.

Oh this boy!!  Never, ever a dull moment!

Please don't tell him that his BB gun is empty!

We are meeting at the zoo today and just can't wait!
