Wrapping up the Season

Maddie's last regular season soccer game was a good one!  They wrapped up the season with a win!  This has been such a fun experience, and I am so glad she ventured out and tried something new.  Pop and I still have a very long way to go before we truly understand what's going on, but we're determined to get there!! It was a really stress free regular season, and she learned so much!

Game time!

Let me set this up for you - Maddie is hustling down the field kicking the ball............

And she scores!!!!!  Hallelujah!!  First goal of the season for her!!!!! (And I got a picture of it going through the goal!!) There's not a lot of scoring in soccer, and she has come close several times.  It was great to see her score! One thing I've learned is that you don't have long to celebrate!  I had just started yelling, "Yeah Maddie", and they were already headed back down the field!!

But, look at that smile!!!

Is that not precious?  That's what it's all about!!

Back down the field again!!

The running never, ever stops!!

Good Game!

Thanks Coach!  It's been a wonderful season!!

Look out All Stars-we're coming for you!!!

Mudbugs and Family

I don't eat those little  mudbugs called crawfish, but I'm thankful that they allow us the opportunity to get together with family.  After a very big baseball win in the 3rd round playoffs this past weekend, our Gordo family joined us for some family fun. There were smiles, laughs, and hopefully new memories were made.

Hanging out while we wait to eat!

Pop had some good help getting them ready!

Supper's ready! This is only a small portion!

Rumor has it that it was a toss up between Scott and Lindsey as to ate the most!

Where is Gracie?  I have no pictures of her!!

Pool fun, Tic Tac Toe and more crawfish!

Lillan named the flamingo McKenna.......Just thought I'd share that little tidbit of information!

I can't wait until our next get together!!

Jacob's Ladder

This is another one of those post's that is slightly out of order.  A couple of weekends ago, we went to Alex City for Jacob's Ladder Sunday.  Lillian performed, but sweet Reed decided he'd just wait until next year.  While there, we spent a relaxing afternoon of playing in the yard.

Lillian is determined to swim this year. She has been practicing going under in this big bucket and getting the rings.  This is a really big deal for this cutie!!! Is she not just precious?

These two are tight!! He's helping her round up those rings!

Maddie is helping Lillian with those soccer skills.

Shhhh.......Don't tell anyone because this big girl doesn't know it yet, but she made All-Star in soccer!  I still don't have a clue what's really going on, but I've enjoyed this season.  She's been awesome!

Cheese!!!!

Look out Nemo!

Now to the program.....Obviously, this picture was taken before Reed's haircut. :)

Lillian has come so very far!  No more tears and refusing to sing!  She's all smiles and sings loud and proud!!!! And we love it!

What a Group!!

A Quick Update

After Maddie's Tuesday soccer game, we loaded the little ones up for a few days here before their parents and Maddie joined us for the weekend.  There are no words for how much we enjoy these babies, although we really missed Maddie.  We didn't do anything special, but we had lots and lots of special moments.  I'm going to miss it when they no longer want to pile in the bed and sleep with me. (There's just something special about a foot in the face at 3:00 in the morning:)!!) We enjoyed swimming in a near freezing pool, playing in the sandbox, entertaining Beau and visiting Papa.  Before we knew it, their mom, dad and Maddie were here for the weekend.

Lillian has lots of plans for when she turns 5 the end of May.  One of those plans is learning to swim.  I think she will learn in no time at all!  In the past, she has been a little afraid of the water, but she is ready now!!

I promise she wasn't crying, but that's quite the face!

This cutie is content hanging out on the steps for now!

Please trust me when I tell you that this water is really, really cold!  But yes, Nana joined in the fun, too!!

We loaded Beau up in the Ranger and picked up the granddog!

It's always a special treat to visit Mr. Tony.  Reed was long overdue for a haircut, and he loves Mr. Tony!

Lillian wanted a haircut, too.  She settled with a ponytail!

It's amazing how much fun a pile of sand can be!!

Is there anything in the world more fun than a sprinkler?

And it's probably wrong to love a dog as much as we love this stinker!! He's rotten!

Much more to come!  Fishing, crawfish, cousins and more!
