So Long April

Not much going on around here......We are still staying close to home while we ride out this pandemic.  I think I may actually have a hard time getting back to normal when this is over. I've gotten use to this slow pace and being home. We did manage to get Caleb's old room painted this week.  It was way, way over due! We are also doing lots and lots of yard work at Papa's, and will soon be painting the exterior. I will say that this month has flown by!

I have been able to spend time with this cutie.

Is there anything more fun than a sprinkler on a sunny day?

And I miss these three more than I could have ever imagined!  I can't wait to get my hands on them.

They have been having lots and lots of adventures.  Among other things, they are building a new tree house with their very own pirate to keep them safe!

These pictures don't do them justice, but these roses have been just gorgeous. I love this time of the year.

Life

Life in the pandemic continues.  Other than a trip to the grocery store, I have been home all week.  We have been busy in the yards-both ours and Mr. Jack's.  I am happy to say that we are making lots of progress.  After the yard is somewhat complete, we will move on to painting the outside of his house, before moving to the inside.  It's a process, but we are looking forward to getting it done.

I did not realize that I hadn't shared the pictures from Easter.  Everyone dressed up for pictures, and then enjoyed on line services at home. I am truly enjoying the online services but am looking forward to being back in church.

Work continues online.  I am sadly becoming an expert at Zoom calls, webinars, and all things online......Again, I miss being in my schools and with my colleagues. I know that this too will pass.

Now, on to some pictures of my cuties.

This one is growing up so quickly!  He is having a ball at home during this time!

I blinked and this one is almost grown. And isn't Mia a cutie?

Such a sweet little angel!

I can't wait to give a great big hug to each of these sweet souls.

Sisters!

Mom and Dad

Cheese!

We were able to spend Easter with these three as we rode out the storm. We are hoping this afternoons storms won't be as bad.

Life in the Pandemic

What a strange time this is! I have made a list of the restaurants I want to visit, and stores I want to browse just as soon as this threat from the pandemic passes.  I already have an appointment for my hair in May.  I very much enjoy being home-but, this is a little much even for me!

Mostly, I miss Lindsey and her family more than I could ever express.  Face time calls are great, but they don't make up for not seeing them........Also, we are patiently awaiting on baby Jack's arrival.  He is certainly going to be born at a strange time.  We feel pretty sure that our first view will be through the outside window of the hospital.

With all of that being said, we are doing great.  I am just ready for this new normal to be over, and life to get back to as normal as possible.

Maddie, Reed and Lillian enjoyed dying eggs.
And so did this little one.

He also enjoyed finding eggs several times.  I actually have a basket ready to hide for him one more time this week.  Don't tell him Easter is over!

These three kiddos are busy with building trails, playing with their new puppy and home school. Luckily with their mom, this home school stuff is a breeze! Below, you will see their nature projects from a lesson one day.  They are also raising caterpillars.  Soon, they will be in the chrysalis stage.

What an awesome classroom!
And they did everything possible to make this one's birthday as special as possible.  She picked out her favorite foods for the day and special activities just for her.
Caleb, Pop, Taylor and John Sawyer enjoyed another fishing trip.  I might add that we enjoyed these last night for supper.
Have a great week!

Eleven

Our sweet Maddie is turning 11.  I could have never imagined a scenario that would have kept us from being with her to celebrate.......She is such a joy!  She is extremely smart, kind-hearted, and talented.  She loves art, science, martial arts and math. Right now, she is greatly missing her soccer season, and we are missing getting to see her play. Nana and Pop can't wait until we can see her and celebrate with her. A Facetime get together will have to do for now.

I could have added a thousand pictures of this angel. As I was going through them, I was a tad overwhelmed with how much this sweet girl has impacted our lives in eleven short years.  It's hard to even remember what life was like before she arrived.  She introduced us to a love that we could never have imagined. She is loved more than we could ever say!!

Just a few snapshots that cover lots and lots of memories!

Happy Birthday!  We love you!

Quick Update

We are all happily sheltered at home, trying to make the best of this.  I'm not sure just what I'm going to do when I have to put on make up and actually dress decently again..... In the meantime, we are trying to do our part to stay put and help flatten the curve.

Josh and Lindsey surprised the kids with this precious puppy this weekend.  They had planned on getting a puppy this summer, but this one became available.  They felt this was the perfect time, since they will have so much time to spend with her.  Isn't she a doll?  Meet Mia!

She will be one well loved puppy!

And this little guy had a ball fishing! I predict lots more of these trips.

Nana and Pop had a great time, too!
