Belle and the Little Ones

All the decorations are down and put away, and we are settling into the New Year quite nicely. The big kids have been doing big kid things, and haven't been able to visit. We hope to see them soon. We've had the little ones daily for a couple of weeks.  We have John Sawyer for a couple more days, and then he'll be back in school.

Belle (Reed's GSP) has been battling a lung disease for several months, and hasn't been able to hunt. After lots and lots  of treatment, we are happy to say she is doing much better and was able to go quail hunting again. I enjoyed being able to watch her do what she was born to do.  It's fascinating that finding birds, pointing and all that comes with it, just comes naturally.  It's lots of fun to watch! I also enjoy it because she may be Reed's dog, but she's also my baby!

I think she would stay like this all day.

Beautiful, but foggy day.

Teamwork!

Sniffing out another one!

More than a dog- She's  a friend and partner that is always faithful and always wants to please!

What fun we have with these little ones!  They are becoming excellent cookie makers!

So much fun!  I have taken very few pictures of them lately for some reason.  Trust me, we've had lots of fun building towers, playing with trucks, riding the tractor in the yard and lots of other things!

Happy New Year!
