The Littles

I got to go keep Reed on the tail end of him being sick.  In other words, he couldn't go to school, but he was actually feeling much, much better.  Lillian had gone to school, but when I realized Reed was feeling ok, he and I headed to pick her up.  These two have such a good time together!  Big school really messes up our fun with Maddie!  So, while we missed her, the little ones and I had a really great day together!

Pancakes for lunch were a big hit!!

Luckily, the rain hadn't started yet, and we were able to enjoy a beautiful day outside!

Time for a little ride!  To be honest, Reed just wasn't into this!!  He only went for a short ride, before he got out to have some adventures on his own!

He did enjoy riding on the tractor!!

Lillian wanted to hide eggs, so of course that is exactly what we did!  However,  Reed wasn't really into finding them.  He wanted to put all the eggs in Lillian's basket!

Sun, Sand, and Seagulls

This was a really beautiful weekend at the beach.  The weather warmed up a good bit the second and third days.  We began each day in the indoor pool and hot tub!  Needless to say, the hot tub was a big hit-no pictures of that though!  After a dip in the pool, we headed to the beach to dig a few holes, hit a few balls and feed the "devil birds" as Pop calls them.

As Reed was taking a nap, I got to watch a little beach volleyball and a soccer game from the balcony!

We couldn't wait to join in the fun!

Not only do the birds like the animal food, they also like peanut butter sandwiches!

It's amazing how much fun you can have with a bucket!

If there is a playground around, we will find it!!

I didn't notice this stinker's zipper was messed up until I went to take the jacket off.  Trust me, it didn't slow him down!!  If his sisters can do it, he thinks he can, too!

Back to the beach!

Pop and Maddie practiced on the beach quite a bit.  

We looked around and Reed had started a little game all by himself!

This trip could not have been more fun!! Pop and I can't wait to take them back!!

February Fun

The babies were coming for the weekend, so we decided to change things up just a little bit.  We journeyed to Alex City, picked them up and headed to the beach - all by ourselves!!  We arrived late morning, and it was still quite cold that day, so we headed to the zoo.  This is something we always want to do when we are there, but we always hate giving up a day at the beach.  Everyone had a great time!  It's really a good zoo!!

I like that they could get up close and personal to the animals!  Each child got a cup of food, but the animals weren't very hungry!  It worked out well though-we had lots of food for the seagulls!

Reed loved all the animals! Lions, tigers, bears, birds and more!!

The girls even got to hold a baby kangaroo, although Lillian was convinced it was a baby deer!

Gus

All you need is love and a dog!  I am lucky to have both.  Reed was out of town, so I decided to take the dogs for a little walk down by the pasture.  However, when I opened the door to load them in the car,  Maybelle took off running! She comes back in her own time, and usually somehow lets herself into the backyard.   So, Gus and I continued on without her.

We took a little break at one of my favorite spots in the whole world!!  Gus was amazed by the turtles jumping off the logs.  I had to convince him that he really didn't want to jump in!

He spotted something off in the distance!

And off he goes!

At the end of our walk, we sat like this for quite awhile, because.................

This stinker found the only mud puddle around and army crawled through it. He turned around and dove right in before I knew what was happening!  I was screaming too loudly to get a picture!! Luckily, I had some wipes in the car, so he got a good rub down.  

I can't wait for Spring!!

Anybody Need a Roofer?

Pop made a quick trip by himself  to attend one of Maddie's basketball games.  While there, he got on their roof to check out a potential problem.  Before long, he had lots and lots of help!! Let me also say that Nana is extremely afraid of heights, so  I was just a little nervous when I saw these pictures.

Maddie stayed with Pop the entire time he was on the roof.  The two little ones just came up to check things out  when he was finished!
