Fall Break

Fall Break was only 2 days long, but we added the weekend and made the most of it! Lindsey and Josh went to Dauphin Island, so we met up and took the kiddos for our long weekend adventure. Shrimp Fest, the beach, smores, the Track, pooltime, and more made this a very special trip!  We treasure these times, and hope they will always remember the memories we make! This post has lots of pictures, because we had lots and lots of fun!

Cheese!

We began the trip at Shrimp Fest, and we did it all!  Tattoos, play area, face painting, games and more!  The kids loved it, and so did we!

Meet our Rainbow Cheetah and Flash!

Prettiest Flower Child I know!

Bubble time!  They also did a little line dancing in the restaurant!

We use to underestimate this one, but no more!  She's as adventurous as her big sister!

Reed hung right in there with them.  He didn't make it all the way to the top, but he never stopped trying.  His legs just need to be a little bit longer.

This big girl had a ball, too.

Beach time!  It was a little overcast, but very comfortable day.  Sadly, the water was very rough, so they mostly played in the sand.

Love this little hot mess!

Feeding the "devil birds", as Pop calls them.

We could not love them more!

Shrimp and crab legs for all.  Much to the dismay of Pop's wallet, they are all eating off the big menu now!

We have made this picture in this same spot about 5 years now.

Putt, putt time!  Pop won, but we all got a hole in one.  Pop actually got two.

Last swim of the season.  Our pool at home has finally cooled off this week, too.

They love to ride their bikes.

A little paddle ball fun!

He's got his game face on!

The pictures I took were horrible, but these three did this thing again much to my dismay!  They seem to love it!

Why anyone would want to do this is beyond me?

Go cart time!

This was the last picture I took before we left.  Let's call this "the calm before the storm!" We rode our bikes down a 1/10 of a mile boardwalk with no sides to this pretty lake.  All was well on the ride there.  On the way back, I helped Reed get started.  He peddled about 10 feet and then fell off and into the marsh below.  It was only about a foot, but that was enough to get him soaking wet.  And even if he had landed directly on top of an alligator, he popped up so quickly, it wouldn't have stood a chance.  Reed failed to see any humor in it, put I assured him that it would always definitely be a memory!

And back at home, this little one is growing more with each day.  Now that the weather has finally cooled off, we are enjoying morning walks and playing on the playground.  I love my days with him! I might add that on this day, we went down the big slide 6 times!

Come on Nana!

There's something about a tractor man!

Giddy up!
