Happiness is when you realize your children have turned into really good people.
This blog has largely been devoted to my precious grandchildren. Today I'd like to talk about my awesome children. Both are private and like to stay in the background, so they probably won't be too happy with me. Lindsey was recently recognized as Teacher of the Year, and Caleb was awarded the Pillar of the Community award. I am extremely proud of both of these accomplishments, but I'm mostly proud of how they both live their day to day life. My sweet grandchildren are being raised in loving, Christian homes, both have wonderful, supportive spouses and strong marriages, and both are committed to their families, church, job and communities. There are days when I wish they were still little and we were going from event to event with them, but those feelings are outweighed by the love of watching them continue to grow as adults. Parenting doesn't come with instructions, and if I am honest there are things I would do differently if I could have a do over. I am just happy that they overcame any shortcomings, and have become such wonderful adults. It's just a really wonderful feeling to know that your children are simply really good people. Love you both more than you know!
